Hi friends.  Wordpress isn’t doing it for me anymore so I’m officially not trying to keep this up anymore – check me out on tumblr please!!

See you over there… Thanks!!

Ballon Bleu time!! I’m obsessed…

In a perfect world this would be waiting for me under the Christmas tree. However, it is not (for many reasons NOT including this one), and so maybe I can get the diamondless one??

Hahaha that probably saves you like $5… But I love how simple & classic it is.

Basically, Santa, I really want a classic, simple, elegant, non-leather watch.

This past weekend we acquired:

a 3-in-1 multi-cooker!! It’s a rice cooker, a pressure cooker, and a slow cooker! So excited to start experimenting with it.  Apparently, the Top Chef contestants are allowed to take ONE item with them… and this is what most pick.  Don’t ask me where I heard that, but I like to think I’m in the company of top chefs 😉

Also, I found this website, Pressure Cooker Diaries, that is probably going to be my new must read.

Our first experiment? Cranberry sauce:

A little too liquidy but smells good! Updates on recipes/food photos & such after turkey day.

LOVE-ing “new” (relatively speaking) Florence & the Machine!!! Sometimes follow ups are hard, but its very her, what you would expect, and GREAT!

wishlist

I’m obsessed with these Rag & Bone Galaxy jeans & have been dying for something leather.  I want leather pants bc they’re awesome AND I can wear them to work! Also really want a leather pleated skirt…

Accessories: I get tired of carrying around huge bags – they’re heavy as is & then I just go crazy filling them up with crap I don’t need.  These cross body bags are light, versatile & gorgeous.  I love everything Alexander Wang & think his bags are the best priced.  That black snake skin botkier bag is on sale, and will dress up any ordinary outfit.  Finally, loving the Cambridge Satchel Co. bags – also super well priced (read: cheap!) and would love mine monogrammed!

Working Girl

Ideal 1st day of work outfit:

Pleated leather mini with cute silk blouse, booties, stacks of rings, and a fall colored bag. Comfy & work appropriate.

New job may mean that I’ll be MIA from wordpress for a lil bit.  I want to focus 110% on excelling in my new role, but you can still find me on Tumblr and Twitter (bc they are way faster/easier to update) in the meantime.  See you soon!

Continuing on my dubstep theme for the week:

Oh wow.  approx 5 mins after I announced I’m not into dubstep, this comes on.  I’m addicted.

Ruby Frost’s voice is gorgeous and I can’t stop listening to this song!

So after announcing this wkend that I am not into dubstep, I ended up spending way too much time on youtube watching dubstep vids.  I decided I can’t just listen to dubstep music but I can watch people actually dubstep! Like this dude…

And that’s fo real! No effects! Check him out on Ellen

~homemade cookies & cream ice cream!~

After lots of ice cream making this summer, I knew I would next have to tackle my absolute most favorite ice cream flavor… Cookies & Cream.

Step 1: Making the cookies

And filling:

Disclaimer: I feel like I need to apologize for some of these ingredients… First, I didn’t want so much Hershey’s.  Technically you’re supposed to use dutch process dark but I couldn’t find any at our CT Stop & Shop! I shoulda done the shopping in NY first… Kinda the same goes for the Crisco. Ick. I needed shortening & there is such a thing as organic shortening, but again, that CT Stop & Shop!

Now to work.
